I have been at the helm of five community banks as the CEO. I feel fortunate to have participated in leading banks within the industry during both times of economic expansion and turbulent change. I am grateful for experiencing all the life phases of a company, having started, grown, turned around, merged, and sold financial institutions.
As the financial landscape changes, I look forward to experiencing the innovation created by new FinTech entrants involving blockchain, cryptocurrency, regtech, and crowdfunding. I plan to participate actively in the exciting times ahead for the global economy and the next ride of change.
Banking, a Sea of Change
The banking world is ever-growing and evolving, and not just talking about today's and gone tomorrow's fads. With the consistent introduction of varying potential FinTech revenue streams and distribution channels, the opportunity for profit grows, but so does the financial complexity and risk. Navigating the often-foggy landscape in a regulated banking world is challenging but rewarding. In addition, the C change of blockchain, cryptocurrency, crowdfunding, and quick settlement is challenging the global economic order.
